Another early day on my way to Thames.
I had a great start: due to a flat tire on my bike I missed the train, only to take the wrong train after that. So yeah, off to a great start.
The rest of the day wasn’t too great either. The day before yesterday I had to say goodbye to my boyfriend and parents who came to visit me for a week, so you can probably imagine how I felt (and still feel).
However, the day at Thames itself was good. I did a lot of research on one shows and we did three brainstorm sessions about new ones. I even have my own email address and login code now! I feel really important. :)
These brainstorm sessions are really fun, by the way. I know that I’m not the type of person to sit behind a computer screen all day, so these sessions are most welcome. Plus, all three of them (Danny, Shona and Majella) have such great ideas and are so creative! I notice that I’m still thinking ‘inside the box’ too often, so joining in during these brainstorms is the best way to learn!
The research part of the day was not that refreshing, unfortunately. I know how to search and find the things I am looking for online, and I’m glad I could help, but I don’t feel like I’m learning a lot.
I really need to get used to working such long days, though. From door to door it takes me about 2,5 hours to get there, and I’m working 8, so these are pretty long days. Would be a lot easier if I lived a little closer…
